Seal of Mauros* from 684-685. The inscription says: "Of Mauros, patricius and archon of the Keramisians** and Bulgarians".
*Mauros was the most famous diplomat and warrior of Kuber (Kuber lead a large group of Bulgarians, who settled in 7th century in the region of
today's Macedonia and obtained some independence from the Byzantine empire)
**Keramisians were called the people who lived in the "Keramisian field", the region around today's Bitola - a town in southern Macedonia
Seal of theme Bulgaria* (it's center was Skopie) from Nikitas Karikis, duke of Bulgaria
* "themes" were called the administrative regions in the Byzantine empire. After the fall of Bulgaria, the territory became "theme Bulgaria".
